Michigan man charged with having too many marijuana plants

CLINTON COUNTY – A 31-year-old Elsie man was arrested last week for growing more marijuana plants than he is allotted with his medical marijuana patient card.

Kyle Eric Endres was in possession of 37 marijuana plants when officers from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office searched his residence, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.

Endres’ medical marijuana patient card allows a maximum of 12 plants.

He was arraigned Thursday in 65th District Court on one charge of manufacturing marijuana between 5 and 45 kilograms, which carries a maximum sentence of seven years and/or a $500,000 fine.

Endres was released on a $5,000 cash or surety bond, and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 12
